Just a quick reminder to all Adult motocross riders, that Mick White and his Louis Motocross Club, will be once again running a charity motocross event, on
The venue is Wilberfoss 7 miles east of
The track is set in an 18 acre flat field with several man made jumps which takes a novice rider about two minutes to get around. When the track has been graded properly most of the corners berm up due to the sandy texture of the soil. The track also has provision for watering it, if dust was going to be a problem.
Overnight campers are welcome providing they respect other campers by switching off generators and any other audible noise equipment at
Meningitis Research Foundation are delighted to have the support of the motocross fraternity who are supporting this event, to help them achieve their vision- a world free from meningitis and septicaemia and are very grateful if you are supporting Mick with his fundraising efforts.
Meningitis Research Foundation currently has 18 research projects. Since it was founded in 1989, the charity has awarded 118 research grants, leading to many advances in the prevention, and detection and treatment of meningitis septicaemia. The total value Meningitis Research Foundation investment in vital scientific research is nearly £13 million. There free phone 24 hour helpline takes over 10,000 calls a year and they send out over 2.5 million free pieces of awareness information every year.
Meningitis Research Foundation are also supporting over 5,500 families that have been affected by these diseases in their lives, so you can see just how important the money from Mick’s motocross event will be to Meningitis Research Foundation.
All profits from the meeting will be going to a most worthy cause the Meningitis Research foundation. So far the motocross events have raised over £10.600.00 for this worthy cause. Mick is looking forward to catching up with all the people whom he has come to know through motocross, motorcycle scrambles over the last twenty odd years. Entries will be accepted over the phone, with an entry fee of £40 although there is an opportunity to receive £20 cash back for a suitable marshal or helper. The closing date for pre entered riders is on Friday 18th July at
